I am filled with hope this New Year, that perhaps 2025 might be the year in which we start turning ourselves around, returning us as the Western world to those foods that give life and true health. Far too long, humanity has gone along a road of vegetable oils, ultra-processed foods, pharmaceutical band-aids, and an expanding buffet of food additives. We have treated our bodies not as the intricately beautiful creations of millions of years of evolution but rather like mechanical parts in which we tinker, override, and force to adapt to unnatural inputs. And it is not working-the foundation is cracking in ways too big to ignore anymore.

The True Cost of Modern Food Systems

The fallout from our modern food landscape is staggering. Chronic illnesses are on the rise, treatment costs are ballooning, and our collective health is in freefall. Children are developing diseases that were once considered rare for their age. Relationships-and even our very souls-suffer under the weight of mental and physical illnesses that sap our energy, productivity, and joy. We’ve become brittle, individually and societally, because of our overconsumption of carbohydrates and our reliance on heavily processed foods.

How did we get here? Somewhere along the line, we decided to buy into the idea that human ingenuity could outsmart evolution-that we could eat and live however we wanted and still thrive. But the reality is, human bodies are not infinitely adaptable. They are not guinea pigs for some constantly revised phalanx of food-like stuff. The human body has developed over millennia based on diets high in animal-based nutrition, and that is one biological fact we can’t just wink away.

A Moment of Opportunity

These economic changes burdening countries like the U.S., Canada, Australia, and England are, in fact, an unexpected opportunity. As families tighten their belts and reevaluate priorities, many find that simple, whole, animal-based foods are quite affordable. The same ground beef and eggs that sustain our bodies can also fatten our wallets. Let a new sense of resilience, energy, and mental clarity prepare us for what’s to come.

But this shift is about more than surviving the hard times. We are rejecting a health system that merely exists as an afterthought. We must not afford any more productivity loss, spiraling expense in healthcare systems, and withering away the vitality of our collective whole. It’s time to seize back our well-being and assure a future as well.

Why a Meat-Based Diet?

A meat-based diet is not a fad, but rather a return to the nutrition that shaped us into a species. Humans have only ever truly flourished throughout millennia on diets rich in animal fats, proteins, and micronutrients. These foods gave a strong body, sharp mind, and resilient spirit. When we fuel ourselves with what we are biologically designed to eat, we unlock a level of well-being that modern diets simply can’t replicate.

This is not about elitism or exclusivity. A meat-based diet is accessible, adaptable, and based on the simplest of truths: we are what we eat. By choosing nourishing, whole foods over processed alternatives, we honor our bodies and our evolutionary heritage. And in so doing, we set the stage for a healthier, more resilient society.

The Time for Change Is Now

We are at a crossroads. The challenges facing the modern world, from economic uncertainty to the epidemic of chronic illness, are calling for a collective shift. Embracing a diet based on meat can be a powerful step toward healing not just our bodies but also our communities and our world.

Now, envision a world whereby the family is vibrant, full of energy, and connected. Where children grow up free from the burden of preventable diseases, and relationships thrive because mental and physical health are no longer barriers. This is the world we can have if we’re willing to change course.

Let’s make 2025 the year we change the tide. Let’s fuel our bodies with the nourishment they need to thrive. Let’s build resilience, energy, and well-being so we’re ready for whatever challenges come our way. Together, we can do this. It’s time to shift, to heal, to hope.
